Welcome

BearScots is the Scottish bears group and was founded in the spring of 2000. We hold monthly bear events in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and host the annual 'BearScotFest' extravaganza in October. The group also run regular trips and visits across Scotland and around the UK for our members, such as our 'BearScots BBQ' in late summer. We also fundraise and support the work of Gay Men's Health.

Pride Scotia!

14th-18th June, Edinburgh

Get yourself ready for a fun filled furry weekend as the bears party and march for Pride! We are delighted to have the lovely Jason, winner of Mr. BearScots 2012 joining and performing for us. The Bear Ball kicks off the entertainment for Pride on Friday at the New Town Bar. Head downstairs from 9.00 pm and Mr. BearScots will be singing and entertaining you! The partying keeps going as the Midnight Disco kicks off with dancing until the wee small hours. On Saturday march under the BearScots banner with Mr. BearScots leading the bears. Then head to the New Town Bar for beer and live music.

Jason would love to know your requests for songs. So let us know what you would like to hear him sing!

BearScotFest 2013

18th-20th October

Make a date for the 12th BearScotFest in Edinburgh! Last year saw over 600 men descend on the city for 3 days of furry fun. This year year we have exclusive use of CC Blooms for the Friday club night, the historic vaulted arches of the Caves for late night partying on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon entertainment with cabaret at Electric Circus.

Tickets will go on sale at the beginning of the summer and there will be discount for early bookings. If you need any more information just drop a mesage to info@bearscots.org.uk

BearScots Membership

We would like to thank everyone for their support as a member over the years. BearScots has had supporters from near and far. In the past 5 years we have sent out nearly 600 membership packs which have included our exclusive membership pin.

The membership subscription system has now come to an end but don't worry, as all previous and current BearScots members will become members for life. If you are not a member yet and would like to support just send your name and request to join in an email to Graham at info@bearscots.org.uk.

New look monthly bear nights!

Enjoy the fun twice a month as BearScots presents Bears in the West and Bears in the East.

Bears in the West

Head to the Underground Bar, John Street, Glasgow for the first Friday in the month for Bears in the West. You can chat up with old friends and meet new faces whilst the popular DJ Corky spins some favourite tunes on the decks. The BearScots gang will be on hand to say hello and hand out a wee sweet treat. The party gets going at 9 and will keep you entertained til the wee small hours.

 

Bears in the East

Keep the party going at the New Town Bar, Dublin Street, Edinburgh for the second Saturday of the month for Bears in the East. The club night now moves onto 2 floors with chill out drinks in the upstairs bar and a chance to cruise and mingle in the male only downstairs bar. The BearScots team will be there to give you a warm and friendly welcome. You can party with the bears from 10 til late.
