Join us behind the BearScots banner as we march through the streets of Edinburgh for Pride. There will be plenty of entertainment post the march and full details will be announced shortly on their website or Faceook page.

Believe it or not, planning for BSF2014 is already well underway. As a matter of fact our committee had begun planning it before BSF2013 had even taken place, such is the enormity of the behind-the-scenes operation needed to put together one of Britain's biggest and friendliest bear events! (What? You thought we just phoned round a few venues a week or two in advance then turned up with smiles on our faces and our fingers crossed?!) 

We can't give away too much just yet but let's just say, it's gonna be big! Put the dates in your diary now, we can confirm it's all happening on the weekend of Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th October 2014 with the usual "Early Bears" event on the Thursday evening.

Our chosen charity for this year has been Gay Men’s Health. This Scotland based charity involves and empowers gay and bisexual men to promote the health and well-being of all men who have sex with men. BearScots are proud to support the Gay Men’s Health and our fundraiser over the BearScotsFest weekend raised £1,430.00. Thanks for your support!

As you may have noticed, we've completely rebuilt our website this year. We've put a lot of thought into making sure it works just as well on your smartphone as on your computer. We know that most of you boys have iOS, Android, Windows and whatever else in your pockets nowadays (yes, we did notice the sea of Scruff and Grindr screens in The New Town last year!) ... so why not carry the info you need to make the best of your weekend on yours?

If you want to get your phone ready for BearScotFest this year, bookmark our BSF programme or better yet, add it to your home screen (it'll behave just like a purpose-built app). If you're a little more daring you can also add the BearScots shared Google calendar to your phone's own calendar app, this also contains venue locations, maps, numbers and everything else you'd expect.

And for those of you who've decided not to embrace the smartphone revolution (or if you choose not to carry a mobile at all), don't worry! You'll still receive the usual full welcome pack at our registration desk, which includes a good-old-fashioned fold-it-up-and pop-in-in-your-pocket style programme!

Get yourself ready for a fun filled furry weekend as the bears party and march for Pride! We are delighted to have the lovely Jason, winner of Mr. BearScots 2012 joining and performing for us.

The Bear Ball kicks off the entertainment for Pride on Friday at the New Town Bar. Head downstairs from 9.00 pm and Mr. BearScots will be singing and entertaining you! The partying keeps going as the Midnight Disco kicks off with dancing until the wee small hours.

On Saturday march under the BearScots banner with Mr. BearScots leading the bears. Then head to the New Town Bar for beer and live music.
