I'm new to the LGBT scene in Edinburgh, I moved to Edinburgh months before COVID happened.

I'm interested in getting more information and participating in the scot fest.

Hi Thomas,
Great to hear from you. We hope you are settling into Edinburgh life.
Our events have been mothballed over the pandemic but we are currently in the process of getting our monthly social gatherings up and running again in the new year, and our venues for our annual BearScotFest in October are holding in the hope we will be able to go ahead with that in 2022.
We always welcome volunteers for the event and once we have more information on what we need to do we will be in touch with everyone interested in helping. The easiest way to keep up to date is to follow our Facebook page or our website where we post all of the latest Bearscots news.

Thank you for getting back to me. I am settling nicely though I'm trying to get more out there to meet people and not be cooped up in the home or reliant with online. Hence reaching out.

Hi Thomas, don’t know if you’re following the Bearscots facebook page or not… but the monthly Bearscots Social night is due to begin again on Sat 12 Feb. With restrictions still in place we are asking anyone who wants to come to pre-register a place by emailing [email protected]

Sorry just few questions: so without tickets bought in advance it won’t be possible to attend to the parties ? In the sauna is possible to join also without a ticket for Bearscot?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your message. The weekend tickets have sold out but we have tickets avaliable for the Saturday night. It is likely that these will sell out shortly. You will be unable to attend the event without buying in advance.
The sauna is not a ticketed event but discount is offered to people who have bought a weekend ticket.

just to ensure folks are aware - Thurs 6th coincides with a national train strike. It might be worth updating people to make sure they can prepare alternative journeys, since I imagine a lot of folks won't necessarily check, even if they've booked already =)
