BearScots AGM December 2nd 2006
The BearScots AGM will be held this year on Saturday 2nd December at 1PM in The Regent Bar. This is a very important meeting and we would encourage all members to attend if possible. Why not head along to the BearScots sauna event after the meeting?There are a number of important items which we will be discussing, in particular the future of BearScots and our calendar for next year. Some events have already been scheduled so please visit our events pages for more details. We have already started to make arrangements for our birthday party in April, and for next years BearScotFest. There should also be another BBQ in the summer and we hope to plan a range of other activities too.
You don't have to be on the committee to come to the AGM as we welcome input from everyone. In particular, we would like to hear from anyone willing to help during the coming year. This could be assistance in the form of organising a particular event (such as a BBQ or walk) or helping us organise some of our larger events. Any help, NO MATTER HOW LARGE OR SMALL is most welcome. If you cannot make the AGM but have some ideas or wish to provide assistance, then please contact us.
BearScotFest VI October 6-8 2006
BearScotsFest was a great success. Over 100 bears from around the UK and overseas gathered in Edinburgh. The saunas proved VERY cosy, as did Friday night at the Claremont Bar - but perhaps cosy in a slightly less revealing way. For our overseas visitors the Mary King's Close tour was a definate highlight. Finally it was nice to have a chance to have a good bop at Bar Twist on Saturday night. Sunday it was great to wind down with a fantastic spread at The Regent Bar. We would like to thank everyone who helped for the weekend and in particular Robin and Jean Philippe at The Claremont, Alan at The Regent and Bruno our valiant Edinburgh organiser.BearScotFest VI Details
Once again, BearScots is proud to introduce BearScotFest, our annual weekend event which for a few years now has been synonymous with friendship and fun. This year we've prepared quite an event with the relaxed atmosphere that's made BearScotFest famous.There is no single registration, you simply pay for the events that you wish to attend. Indeed, many events are free. However, because spaces are limited for Mary King's Close there is pre-registration. You may also wish to pre-register for the Sunday morning buffet as spaces may also be limited.
